A Program With Heart on Valentine's Day

Leadership students making deliveries

The Leadership students worked hard to provide gift items that students would want to purchase and have delivered to their friends, crushes, parents, and teachers on Valentine's Day.  Many parents took advantage of the event to order items for Shasta students, and some staff as well.

It made for a fun and exciting afternoon with the best part being that all the profit will go to the Children's Miracle Network.  CMN is a program that helps families with the extremely high expenses that accumulate when they have a premature baby or a child with other medical issues.

The amount Shasta raised from this effort was $235. Shasta's Leadership class will probably add some money to that amount from their leadership fund (money raised from their socials) so that the amount given in Shasta's behalf can be even larger and more beneficial. (2.23.2010)

Students Rewarded for Their Efforts

Students playing Foosball at the 100% Club Party

On Friday students who missed less than half a day of school during the 2nd quarter were treated to a popsicle and movie for having exemplary attendance.
Students who had 100% of their work turned in were also rewarded with a party, where they played Foosball, basketball, Ping pong and much more. Congratulations to all these students for their hard work and awesome attendance.

Experience Egypt with Ms. Weil

Ms. Weil in her Egyptian attire

Dressed in Egyptian attire, Ms. Weil shared stories, slides and other cool Egyptian objects with Shasta students. Ms. Poindexter and Mrs. McElravy’s classes enjoyed learning more about mummies, tombs and hieroglyphs.
It was fun for students to see video clips and photos of places they studied.
