2009 summer school comes to an end….

Special Education Staff

Mindy Le Roux, Assistant Director

As the Assistant Director of Special Services, Mindy supports special education teachers and specialists in providing services to students as well as ensuring District compliance with federal and state laws.

Kim Breeding, Secretary

Kim is the Administrative Assistant to the Director and Assistant Director of Special Services.  Kim can be reached by email or by calling 689-3283, ext 2003.

Lisa Bateman, Behavior Specialist

As the District Behavior Specialist, Lisa works closely with teachers, counselors, and other school personnel on a consultative basis providing behavioral support and resources.  Lisa may be reached by phone at 541-607-9701 Ext 2618 or by email.

Nola Colvin, Specialist, Adaptive Physical Education

All students in Bethel have opportunity to develop motor skills and improve fitness via participation in the physical education curriculum. When students have difficulty taking part, Nola, staff, and parents decide upon a plan that facilitates participation in the general curriculum, provides an alternative, or offers a combination of learning situations. Daniel Duss, School Psychologist

Daniel works as a school psychologist for Prairie Mountain School and Danebo Elementary. His primary responsibilities involve assessing students for specific academic and behavioral disabilites, evaluating data, and determining special education eligibility based on federal regulations. He also works closely with teachers, counselors, and other school personnel on a consultative basis providing support for pre-referral services. Amanda Godard, Secretary

Amanda is the Special Education Records Secretary for the district. She checks all paperwork turned in by special education teachers and enters data for state reporting. She can be reached by email or by calling 689-3283, ext. 2018.

Mike Meyer, School Psychologist

Mike has been a school psychologist in the Bethel School District for 23 years and provides services to Clear Lake and Malabon Elementary schools and Shasta Middle School. His primary responsibilities include evaluation consultations .
